As Escalon expanded its client base, managing international cross-border payments efficiently became a growing challenge. Impact of cross-border payments
Many of Escalon’s clients operate globally, with US-based headquarters paying international contractors or subsidiaries. However, for over 250 of the firm’s clients, their international payment process was fragmented:
- Multiple tools and banks were used, each with different FX rates and fees.
- Payment processing times varied widely (3–5 days on average).

Due to high transaction volumes, Escalon negotiated preferred FX rates through BILL creating direct cost savings for hundreds of clients. The platform integrates seamlessly into existing AP workflows, giving Escalon’s finance teams full visibility over both domestic and international payments.
One Escalon client, a game development company headquartered in the U.S. with engineering partners in South America, previously struggled with slow cross-border payments. By migrating all international transactions to BILL:
